Sports Therapy and Massage

Sports therapy is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries. Pollyanna works with many individuals from office workers to top athletes in many sports. Currently Pollyanna is working closely with Oxford Hawks Hockey Club and Maddy Whelan Dressage.

Once an injury has been diagnosed then it is treated with a combination of the following modalities; massage, MET, Trigger point therapy, acupuncture (musculoskeletal), rock blades, k-tape, electrotherapy and strength training through specific tailored exercises.

Pollyanna also offers sports and remedial massage that can help recovery after training or competition, help with injury prevention and help relax individuals.

Pilates

Pollyanna is an APPI accredited matwork Pilates instructor, she currently runs a class at Peak Movement Clinic on a Thursday evening, and sees clients on a 1 to 1 basis. Pilates is a number of exercises that target the activation of deep core muscles. It can be a great way to keep a strong core for sport and everyday activities as well a a tool to help with rehabilitation after an injury.

Pollyanna works with a wide range of age groups and abilities. This included athletes, those recovering from injury and people who want to lead a more functional and full life by strengthening their core.

Strength & Conditioning

Pollyanna is a qualified levle 3 personal trainer as well as completing further S&C workshops in olympic weightlifting, plyometrics, agility and speed. Pollyanna focuses on injury prevention and rehabilitation with individuals and teams.
